  1. Great stories about Mount Baldy and the lighthouse and Harriet Colfax (I followed the links). The lighthouse reminds me of the world of Sarah One Jewett’s The Country of the Pointed Firs.

    I felt cheated when I saw that the World’s Fair houses aren’t inhabited. But I felt better when I read the menu for the Leeds Public House.

  2. I thought the houses are inhabited except for the House of Tomorrow with the landing pad, which is still under renovation (and Tyvek). Or maybe they’re just sublet but not inhabited.

    Added a photo of an Amtrak train going through around 5 p.m., but I can’t tell which one it would be.
